Down In Edin Magazine was an online quarterly arts, culture, and lifestyle journal inspired by the brilliant people and wonderful places of Dunedin and Otago in the South Island of New Zealand.

Discovering the common and diverse threads in our humanity through the stories of our creative journeys, love of place, appreciation for the natural world and lifestyle choices offering solutions to today’s issues that affect us wherever we are,  Down In Edin was a visual feast, an oasis from fast bytes, fast food and fast living.

There was something for most readers to resonate with in each issue of Down In Edin Magazine.  A beautiful painting or photograph, a soulful and inspiring story of an artist’s life journey and how they came to be who they are, or a story about a lifestyle choice from someone who was creating a unique life through inventiveness and care for themselves and our world.

DIEM, chose to exist on the boundaries of ‘non-commercial’ allowing the freedom to take our time and dig deep, and get to the heart of the creative journey in all ways.  Down in Edin Magazine was a not for profit unincorporated society supported by small local grants and donations from our readers.
